In recent years the Agapanthus Landscaping company has grown from a small family business into one of the largest landscape design companies in the South Wales area. The Agapanthus Landscape company works with customers from all over the world who are looking for that perfect landscaping design to enhance their property. The Agapanthus Landscape Company believes, “No landscape is more inspiring than a garden that complements its surroundings.” Their mission is to “provide a service to individuals who appreciate art and gardening”.
The Agapanthus Landscape team have recently worked on over 50 different projects, each one bringing something new to the range of plants they offer. They specialise in many areas including flower gardening, shrub gardening and vegetable gardening. In the flower garden they will often use plants from flower shops or specialist nurseries where they can get the best growing conditions. The flower gardens we carry are designed to bring out the colour of the flowers and to complement them as part of the overall garden environment. If you are looking for a vegetable garden then we can supply a wide range of vegetables including potatoes, peppers, carrots and lettuce. We really do value the time we take growing and harvesting our organic vegetables because it really does pay off when you see the results.
Throughout the year you can expect our flower and vegetable plants to change and grow to new heights. In summer we will often have annuals in bloom, such as Columbines, Daisies and early tulips. In autumn we have deciduous plants such as Holly and Hawthorn. Throughout the year we also have perennials such as Mimulus, Calla lilies and Mimicula. Our aim is to continually improve and expand the range of plant life we offer on our farm.
To enhance our Agapanthus landscaping, we prune and deadhead plants. Deadheading is the process of removing any dead growths. Some plants will have more leaflets than other plants and so need to be deadheaded more often. We will do this in late winter or early spring when the plants are at their busiest. By removing too many leaves on a leaf you reduce the amount of time the plant spends using energy. This energy saving is good for you and the environment.
In summer, as most of our Agapanthus landscaping is done in the morning, it is very important to keep the plants well watered. We use a variety of watering techniques. We like to water our plants full sun but give small amounts to help them survive the afternoon heat. We water our plants using deep, circular watering methods in the evenings.
Our most popular landscaping plants are our two favorite herb plants, the native Pennyroyal shrub and the African violet (also known as the African violet or agapanthus wakame). The shrub is extremely easy to care for and is also used in a variety of Asian cuisine. While the shrub is hardy and durable, it does require periodic pruning. For example, if you want to keep your African violet plants from becoming too woody, remove some of the lower limbs. You can also remove some of the newer leaves on your African violet plant. We prefer to fertilize our African violet plants once each month in mid-November.
We find that our favorite garden landscape plants, particularly our African violet and our purple flowers, bring joy to our home. The color of our African violet grows tighter as it matures. It reaches a full size of one foot wide and four to five inches tall. Our African violet will produce purple flowers up to eight inches long. They bloom profusely during the late winter through early spring.
The full-grown length of our African violet reaches twenty-four inches. If you grow your African violet and other African vines for your own personal enjoyment, we suggest starting with the full-grown varieties and then trimming them back to an appropriate size for your desired landscape. Your finished project will be rewarded with blooming, twining purple flowers, the sweet fragrance of the flower and a beautiful back yard you will love to spend time in.
